Two new spots I’ve been involved in

These two were done during the spring 2011.

The first one is a spot for a cat food brand. For this I animated a couple of cats jumping of a roof. Very straight forward =)

Second one is for LG and it’s their new greener appliances. Animated all the penguins.

Trying out nCloth on “Sven”

Setting up some nCloth for Sven(working title…). It’s still a bit bouncy but I think it could work out pretty well.

Coca Cola Siege, Super Bowl 2011

Andrex, Puppyworld

Framestore worked with Andrex to rebrand their iconic mascot. Animating the puppy was challenging enough when we had to make it walk on two legs but not feel too human and also a little bit like a baby but not too wobbly (read drunk) as babies can be.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

Framestore worked on different things for Harry Potter 7 pt 1. and amongst those we, here at commercials, worked on the animated piece about the tale of the three brothers directed by Ben Hibon.

It was a blast working on this project in many different ways. For one, Ben had a clear vision of what he wanted and he’s a very talented director and artist so working with him was both challenging and rewarding. I also prevized around two minutes of the sequence and ended up animating around one minute length as well. The first shot I worked on is the one with the First Brother killing and innocent man in a pub and I later on worked on the Third Brother and the Boy in the last shot with Death that Andrew Silke animated.

The DVD is coming out soon so I will probably be able to show something better than the youtube video I found.

2010 Kia Soul, Black Sheep

Worked on the second Kia commercial with furry hamsters!! In this one we body tracked the dancers and mainly animated heads and hands. It was tricky but it definitely payed off.

Dj Hero intro sequence

The intro to Activision’s game Dj Hero was the first project I worked on here at Framestore. It was a blast to work on it and I think it turned out pretty cool. Check out my reel to see what parts I animated.

Animations from my time at GRIN

During my time at GRIN, 2007-2009, I got the opportunity to work with extremely talented and inspiring artists mainly on Bionic Commando, Capcom, but also Bionic Commando Rearmed, Capcom, and the official game for Terminator Salvation. Bionic Commando and BCR was by far the most fun projects and also turned out to be good products with BCR scoring as high as full house by some reviewers!

These are a couple of animations from that time.

In the cutscene from bionic commando everything is keyframed by me except Nathan Spencer, he’s mocap…
